I wonder what Verizon and HBO channel will be like.
I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.
Wow I'm impressed. I thought ESPN on Live would be useless but it actually is pretty damned cool. I didn't realize you'd be able to set it up to prioritize stories on your favorite teams. I'm curious to see how this pans out.

A couple of years ago, I just used Netflix and my PC for all of my entertainment needs. The only reason I got DirecTV (and that $100 a month bill) again was for my fam. With two 360's, maybe I can finally kiss that satellite bill goodbye.....

Watch out for any hidden cancellation fees when/if you get rid of them... DirecTV are a bunch of sneaky underhanded fucks.
We canceled ours in April just as our 2 year contract was set to expire (they automatically renew you, and then charge you an early cancellation fee if you try to get out of the contract early). Turns out they charged us a $360 (!!!!) cancellation fee because the sneaky bastards AUTOMATICALLY renewed our contract because we replaced an SD receiver with an HD receiver late last year when my folks got a new HDTV for the bedroom.
In the long run though it was cheaper because we got that money back in spades cancelling them and going back to basic cable.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
I'm still confused as to how this will work. I have Verizon Fios.... so I'm guess I'll have to pay an extra "cable box" fee under my cable bill?
Everyone needs to play Lost Odyssey! Any opposition to this and I will have to just say, "If it's a fight you want, you got it!"

Hopefully it will be the opposite. You can use your xbox in place of a "cable box" and save that fee.
Damn. I expected about 2-3 things at most for the UK. BBC, C4 & C5 but no itv? Seems odd, but at least coronation street will never darken my 360.

There is a lot of content ther, and more specifically a good deal of it is without any extra fees which is even better. I am looking forward to this.
1 question: Are the UK TV channels on demand or just a stream of what's currently on TV?
