I guess you win
I say 712,024, exactly. (15% margin of error)

Wow that's quite a progression 1st week. Basically adding 1m each title. The second week totals don't show that though so I'm going to guess low.
467,942 ..... roughly.

I cast some doubts on those numbers. Major Nelson said "[Gears] sold more than three million copies in its first week since release"(September 29th 2011), that is seven days after its release (September 27th) it has sold more than 3 millions. Thus or it is overtracked or the first days of the second week were underwhelming (otherwise he could have said 3.5 millions or something like that).
^^ Not really the forum for this Booh! but the site has overtracked some titles seemingly out of sheer enthusiasm. Like when they called 2m for Japan FW on FF and had to backtrack. It didn't get back there for most of a year. Still, even that was less than a 5% adjustment if I remember correctly.
What would the Major and M$ be using anyway. It's their best guess based on preliminary NPD and extrapolation from partial Point of Sale nos I think. I didn't use PoS there to avoid misinterpretation. ;p We'll see what we'll see in the coming weeks and there have been some indicators pointing in the opposite direction lately. Promos like the 360/PC seem hard for VGC to predict and they tended to undertrack there so who knows? The Americas still seem easier for our fearless leader and co. so that should mean an americentric title like G3 would be fairly accurate. It's great to see some big nos. for a change. and remember it's free.
Sorry for off topic OP. Someone should start threads about Booh!'s concerns, the still somewhat dubious pre-order nos and the HW boost. 360 was getting thumped pretty consistenly so that's a decent bump. Interesting times.

My point is that a second week guess is just impossible. There's not enough trusted data to make an educated guess.
These titles appear to become more and more frontloaded. I'd say around 750k but it could very well pull those numbers again come Black Friday and the holidays.
