nice numbers. X360 had a nice boost across the board from Gears 3. Its amazing the % boost it got in Japan. When is the last time X360 sold over 3.000 consoles for a week in Japan??

I must say 204K for X360 I didn't expect. I was thinking more around 190K

PS3 still doing decent and holding steady with a slight gain this week.

Wii needs software.

Thats incredible that Black Ops (X360) is not even on the list. wow.

That's not fair, the gamecube would have been doing 100k+ if it had a Super Mario Bros game (or whatever Mario game GC didn't get up, arnt there like 1000? )

It really is a fair comparison. At that point in time the Gamecube had nothing noteworthy released for it for quite some time, just like the Wii. Even if you bring up Xenoblade Chronicles for the Wii in Europe, I can counter that with Baten Kaitos Origins in America. Both games made by Monolith too.

I really wouldn't bring up Xenoblade Chronicles for the Wii in Europe.

ahh the beauty of percentages. That's why I hate reading sales articles sometimes. I like hard numbers, not percentages. They can be quite misleading.

Japan:
WOW @ everything except Wii! So yes, let's be honest, wow also @ Gears in Japan, it did VERY well for a western game on a console that's almost dead there. Great job, Epic! A small wow @ XB360 growing more than 240% from a small number to a still small number.

WW:
Good 3DS, DS and PS3, very, very good XB360, weren't for Japan, where even a more than 240% growth still means less than 5k, it would have been excellent, but hey, XB360 is so huge in America that in its best weeks can still be the first home console WW, really not bad for the oldest one, and it made good numbers in EMEAA too. Compliments to PS3 for resisting to XB360's biggest week in a long, long time, even growing a little WW and leaving it just a 33k weekly lead.
In such an outstanding week, Wii's bad performance is really striking.

Indeed, this bodes well for hard, not dumbed down RPGs, and let's hope it does well on every platform it's released for, to show there's plenty of market space for such games.

Sales are so unusual this week.

-No Halo Reach, Kinect Adventures, or even Black Ops (360) in the top 40, despite the spike in console sales this week.
-Black Ops selling better on PS3 then 360.
- Wii sales getting weaker and weaker, and overall weak sales on all consoles (They were all selling around 200k last year at this time).
-360 not outselling the PS3 in EMEAA despite the Gears spike.

So odd, I expect PS3 to take #2 next week.
