That's not fair, the gamecube would have been doing 100k+ if it had a Super Mario Bros game (or whatever Mario game GC didn't get up, arnt there like 1000? )

It really is a fair comparison. At that point in time the Gamecube had nothing noteworthy released for it for quite some time, just like the Wii. Even if you bring up Xenoblade Chronicles for the Wii in Europe, I can counter that with Baten Kaitos Origins in America. Both games made by Monolith too.

I really wouldn't bring up Xenoblade Chronicles for the Wii in Europe.
