I know that screen tearing is the shimmery like stuff you see in many videogames, I just don't know if it also cause the jaggies you see in video games or not.

But your right I don't know much about how graphics work because I'm not a fracking developer or a code junkie. I just play my damn vidoegames and if I like it I play it, if I don't like it I don't play it.

I enjoy high visual fidelity but that does NOT mean I know a ton about graphics. When I said in the other thread I knew a lot about graphics concerning 360, PS3, ect, I was talking about purely the visual aspect of it. I know what games on those systems look like....that is mostly the extent of my graphical knowledge.

Shimmery stuff would probably be bloom lighting and this softens jaggies if anything. Tearing means that the picture breaks horizontally, because the processor skips part of a frame and it's more notable while rotating the camera left or right.

Top third doesn't line up with the bottom two thirds of the picture. That is an example of screen tearing.

Wow i've never seen anything like that in a video game before (maybe I don't notice screen tearing then)

But the shimmery stuff I was talking about isn't the light bloom...they may be just the jaggies I was thinking about.

I play on the Wii and PC, I don't recall seeing screen tearing.

Screen tearing isn't very noticable because it usually happens for a split-second. It can be pretty hard to know why the game looks looks "wrong" when it's because of screen tearing but you don't know what you're looking for. Personally, I recommend playing Titan Quest for the PC if you want to know what screen tearing looks like... Because it has tons of it unless you switch vsync on.

...Anyway, to answer the original question, I have no idea. Personally I'd say low fps bothers me the most, including 30 fps. It's not that annoying in all games but some games should definitely have more.

I have never noticed screen-tearing, so I'll go with low-res textures

if it's like PSX level textures, then textures.

But, screen tearing is incredibly annoying while playing the game, otherwise.

Low textures, I have yet to see screen tearing bad enough to bother me. May be from not playing 3rd party games in quite some time. Uncharted 1 and GT5 have some tearing, but not enough to damage the experience.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. After watching your foot I forgot what my name was. Let alone answer the poll.

Picked screen tearing. I play Black Ops, Metroid, Zelda, etc on my DS so I'm used to low textures.

My thread for teaching VGC some Nigerian slangs

Screen tearing by far. I had to exchange bayonetta from PS3 to 360 because it wasnt even playable to me. The Xbox controller was better then the PS3 screen tearing lol.

Screen tearing. I hate it.
