I always find it just a little disheartening to see these kinds of responses to a thread like this because it further pushes the agenda of "traditional values." Sure, some people are 100% monogamous, and I Respect that, but I'd appreciate it if people would be a little more openminded when it came to polygamy or other forms of open relationships.

Contrary to popular belief, some people can and do have relationships or sex with many different people and get along just fine, and threads like these pretty much shout "Anyone who deviates from the norm is some freak that needs to be ostracized!", and I find that extremely distasteful, not to mention extremely judgemental towards any who have what the mainstream refers to as "Alternative lifestyles."

Like I mentioned earlier in the thread, my girlfriend is a dominatrix, she gets paid to whip and dominate both men and women, and she and I have absolutely no relationship issues over it. I'm not wanting her to "give it up so she can be with me", nor am I thinking that her doing it makes her a cheat or that she doesn't love me. She's happy with it, I'm happy with it, I don't see where people feel it's okay to be judgmental of it just because it's not something they would personally chose.

I've met plenty of people with open relationships, plenty of people who are 100% okay with hearing about some kinky fun their partner/wife/boyfriend/etc had with someone else. Hell, I've done it..I've been in threesomes (yes, the two girls one guy type), yes, I've tried stuff with other guys (it's not for me), I've done it all, and unless you try something, how will you know for sure you do or don't like it. I'd personally appreciate it if people could discuss alternative lifestyles without a hint of arrogance or judgement.

Sex is a very serious thing that should be enjoyed with someone you love or care for. It's a deep commitment, and how some of  you treat sex is quite disgusting IMHO.

I disagree. I don't see sex as a serious thing or a deep commitment. It's just something people do for fun. I don't know about you, but for me there's a difference between just having sex with someone, and having a soul bonding love making session with your significant other. Sex I have with someone for fun is going to be a lot less intimate and more focused on mutual sexual pleasure rather than being an expression of my love and such. I guess you don't have that divide.
