It takes semen to impregnate a woman and last time I checked women do not ejaculate sperm.
|
So all of us here have sex with women with the sole purpose of impregnating them? Damn, wonder how birth controls and condoms are still in business.
|
Of course not, but who likes the grim prospect of raising a child that is not your own. Since when has birth control ever been 100% effective anyways.
Occording to biology, yes the sole purpose of sex is procreation. In fact, the whole purpose of living is to reproduce.
|
Really? Which Biology book taught you this? I'm surprised as to why we don't have babies popping left and right then. Last I checked, many people have sex for pleasure and physical/mental intimacy and/or strenghtening the relationship. Why do people use condoms/birth control then? HIV isn't the only concern.

Forgive me for talking about basic theory of biology. This fundamental principle of biology that comes to being almost as close to being a scientific law as you can be without actually being one, is not refuted by the scientific community.
I am talking about innate qualities in the way living organisms evolved to survive, not how the human cerebral cortex is able to create bonds based on the ability to think abstractly. The ability to have stronger emotions also works as a reproduction mechanism as it promotes survival for the male, female and their offspring.
People use birth control because these things are written into our subconcious and are not conciously processed.
Of course this is only theory, but an incredibly respected one. If you throw these ideas away you might as well throw away most biology and some psychology as being real science.
