Sony just confirmed to IGN that is sold 3.8mil to consumers, not shipped to retailers.
So is VgChartz like not tracking Walmart or something?

Seriously, stop doing this, it's been said many times in various threads that it is shipped numbers. There is a confusion over there.

I'm going to say no. We know it shipped 3.8 million units for the first week, so I think VGC has it undertracked slightly. Either way, I think there will be another, but smaller, shipment early-mid Dec. So, it should definitely ship over 4 million this year. However, I think it will sell through more like 3-3.5 million this year. And since it would be selling more than Uncharted 2 did in its first, but with ~3 weeks less of sales, that's damn good.
