Forums - PC - PC upgrade

$50 rebate and stamp cost.

Total just under $600. Did I mess up on anything for this upgrade?

Looks really good to me. Bought a Phenom II 965 a few months ago and am very satisfied with it, the difference is only 200mhz. Strong GPU, lots of ram, good PSU, motherboard with lots of upgrade possibilities... with two great games... and THAT cheap...

I wish I could build a PC like that here and so cheap...

Dude, you are winning. Win7 gonna be your OS?

Pointless. Win7 is the best one we have so far.

Not to mention a free Mushkin lanyard. He can carry his memory sticks like a MOFO'n BOSS!!!

That price range is what I generally build my machine at. That's NCIX, right? Also if you plan on OC'ing the CPU I'd look into an aftermarket CPU cooler. If not, the stock cooler with good thermal paste will do more than enough to keep it nice and cool in a well vented case. What kind of case do you have?

Also Mushkin is a "relatively new" company in the memory market and I like to stick with more established companies like Corsair and OCZ for my memory needs. I had a bad experience in the past when I went for a company that was less established (but half the price). I don't even remember what the company was. lol

Yeah, it's from ncix. I normally don't OC to keep things from overheat since stock heatsink/cooling aren't designed for that stuff.

I have the thermaltake tsunami case. Huge and lots of fans.

for another 30 dollars add a better CPU cooler. And stock heatsink is crap. You will do 4ghz easily with an aftermarket one.

All I got when I made my PC was effing Just Cause 2. Not fair at all.
