for another 30 dollars add a better CPU cooler. And stock heatsink is crap. You will do 4ghz easily with an aftermarket one.

I suppose he already has one or has plans to get it. Otherwise I don't know why he wants to buy Noctua's thermal paste.

Please excuse my bad English.

Former gaming PC: i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Looks like a solid build. You might want to wait until next month when AMD are supposedly releasing their new Bulldozer range of CPUs (they were meant to release them in June!); the Phenoms will likely drop in price further and the Bulldozer chips should fit into your motherboard.

Nah, I think that he's aware of Bulldozer... look at the mobo - AM3+ and 990X are pretty much the flagship scoket and chipset for it for now... I wouldn't skip out on this deal right now.

Yeah, I thought the same when I saw the AM3+, but it's worth making sure he is aware in case he kicks himself later.

Maybe your new Slime avatar could use it for that.

Those games and the lanyard came free for some reason? 600 bucks for a really nice computer is great! Where did you go?

The games say "AMD Promo", so they're most likely part of a promotion for buying an AMD video card. Maybe with the cpu/mobo combo as well? The lanyard is most likely free with the Mushkin ram purchase.

I wish my video cards came with free games. I bought 2 x Gigabyte AMD 6950 2GB video cards and they came with driver disks...

starcraft: "I and every PS3 fanboy alive are waiting for Versus more than FFXIII.
Me since the games were revealed, the fanboys since E3."

Skeeuk: "playstation 3 is the ultimate in gaming acceleration"

LOL. PSU restocking and MB back order.
And they are sending the rest.
It's not like I could use them separately :/
