I personally believe that god is really just a highly respected alien, you know, like a warlord or king or a priest or something of the sort the aliens who in the show claim to have helped us as far as building and weapons (just watched the episode last night, plasma swordsssssss *drools*) came and talked about that higher being who you should respect and adore, in whom believes and fate you should follow. Basically, an alien who has reached a "god" like status, whether he is alive or dead at this point.

I really like the show, it's got some good evidence and it really puts things into perspective for me.

I made it because you said you don't want to see anymore of these threads in the Proof that god is real thread, and you basically called me out on my game tags in your game tags thread.

But it is also an interesting question I think, and I knew you would not be able to resist your self! Muwhahahahahah.

lol you know I can't resist jumping into a religious discussion, usually because Christianity comes under attack and I am like the only one on VGChartz who puts up a reasonable defence. To be honest I get sorta tired of alot of the Christian's making such flawed defenses. In fact I find that a lot of the time the people best at defending my faith and backing me in those discussions aren't even Christian.

A lot of the intellectual Christian's and they are here on VGChartz aren't as vocal. Every time I come to the defence of Christianity or Christian's I am left out gunned like 10 to 1. I guess a lot of the Christian users here on VGChartz don't see the point in defending there beliefs.

As far as me calling you out on your game tags, truthfully your not the only one who tags games in your threads. I haven't been really paying attention to who is actually tagging games in threads. In fact I didn't even realize you tagged games in your threads. I did once realize Sapphi did because his tag really had very little to do with the topic. Its just something thats annoyed me lately there have been so many tagged threads.

I am all for tagging games when they are the topic. But if your talking about politics and tag Sim City for example. Not that you did that just an example. It sorta takes away from the thread.

Of course you are. ;)

lol sorry Padib, when I said "I am like the only one on VGChartz who puts up a reasonable defense" I meant that most of the time I am the only one in several threads. For some reason you and I are not always present in the same threads and when we are we are so out numbered its hard to remember who's the guy supporting me. I also just noticed your Canadian as well , why aren't we friends yet? lol!

By the way you must be upset by some of these threads and posts that sorta make us Christians look dumb. Like the ones where Christian's claim the earth was made in seven days or that the Bible says the earth is 6,000 years old.

Sorry if I made it sounds as if you don't do a good job defending Christianity. Their are other prominent Christian users like Spurgeonryan but I dunno I haven't really backed him up in a debate or been backed up.

When was the last time I backed you in a discussion? I know we both were in that trap thread but I left early in the thread. I didn't realize you were still in there. It would be good if in future threads their were multiple intellectual Christian's so that we aren't always out numbered ten to one lol!

"In God We Trust - In Games We Play " - Joel Reimer

I think God is a genderless, infinite being that isn't like anything we can imagine. It doesn't look human or in any form. I personally like to think that it's more like a spirit that inhabits everything and always existed. If you keep wondering where things come from (ex. what did the Big Bang come from?), you can keep going infinitely but ultimately something at the end got to have come from *nothingness*. To me this very first source must be God or made by God.

I do think however that most Gods humans made up are reasons to explain things they did not understand. Perhaps some religions got certain aspects right, but there's just no way to know.

Those TV shows are really interesting though... It's like those hieroglyphics, that look like helicopters, they always fascinate me.

God is. That`s all there is to it.
"God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: 'I AM has sent me to you.'""
"And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began"
""I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "before Abraham was born, I am!""

The first atom exploded and created a monkey which evolved into God.

So with that explaination we are God since we evolved from monkeys.

No.  We are created in his likeness.  Don't you know anything?

Seriously though, the reason I made the comment about the big bang and evolution was to show people that don't believe in God that I can make their theories look pretty silly too.

I am one of those people that Joecool was talking about that doesn't see the point of arguing with all of the atheists on the site since I know that it always descends into insults.
