Even though I recently went on to buy all PSX Final Fantasies (Literally like, 3 months ago). I don't mind rebuying these (Saves me from opening my collection).

Finished both on my PS1 years ago, but the more people get to play both the merrier.
(Chrono Trigger is better! Debate commence!)

Are the PSN versions of these games slight remakes with updated graphics, or are they straight ports of the SNES originals?

Just curious, because as a long time gamer since the beginning of the NES generation, something about seeing classic games made for completely different systems now being put on different companies' consoles today (see: Banjo-Kazooie and PD on XBLA, anything from SEGA, etc.) just seems WEIRD to me lol.

Im pretty sure they're not straight ports from the originals but from the PS1 versions.

What really shocks me about this whole thing is that we're getting Chrono Trigger before Japan. xD

lets hope it's not the ps1 versions.. those where horrible... or they fixed the loading times for everything..

Crass exaggaration, that. I finished both on PS1 and it never bothered me.

They are now loading from HDD, too, I.E it will be faster.

I got FF Chronicles, so I'll just be buying FFVI (Never played it!).

I have FFVI Advance, so there's no need for me to get that. However, I will always buy another version of Chrono Trigger, as that was the game that got me into RPGs and my love for that game knows no bounds.
