Looks like Gears 3 fell just short of Halo Reach pre-orders...but damn a 3.5-4 million FW opening is now a guarantee!

by the numbers GEARS3 is betting COD on PS3 and 360 combined! here are the numbers for comparison.

GEARS: 1,962,073

COD PS360: 1,625,730

gap in preorders: 336,343

while battlefield may not beat COD, GEARS will for some time.

Was so close, shame it didn't hit 2 million. MW 3 (360) looks like it will, and I guess next year Halo 4 and the next CoD both will.

That was a mighty fine prediction on your part.

 Dark Souls (PS3) adds 10,000 pre-orders for a total of 118,000. The Xbox 360 version adds 7,000 pre-orders for a total of 57,000.  Saints Row: The Third (X360) adds 9,000 pre-orders for a total of 103,000. The PlayStation 3 version adds 5,000 pre-orders for a total of 52,000.  Atelier Totori: The Adventure of Arland (PS3) adds 5,000 pre-orders for a total of 11,000.

Ya I just noticed I also updated the Dark Souls thread, it's indeed doing quite well.
