its good to see console gamers apprieciating PC games, there is so much unreasonable hate about PC gaming from Console gamers, why can't we all enjoy our games ? =s

Most console gamers have crap PCs like mine, so the hate is justified

Not everybody has a nice PC to play games. Although Portal isn't a very demanding title. I just built myself a nice PC not too long ago, but lately I've been playing my 360 most!

I thought most people had Portal already anyway? I picked it up with the Orange Box off of steam awhile back.

what specs do i need to run portal?

Need some help guys, installed steam on my pc but the pc im currently on cant play portal 1, if i just download it for free and leave it on the computer, when i get my better pc, can i just swap it onto the better pc?

you don't even need to download it, just make sure its in your library, you can download it later on your new PC.

but I don't think you can't "swap" games between computers, so if you download it now you will have to download it again if its a new PC.

so its kind of like psn, once ive purchased it  (even if its free) i can redownload it later

AFAIK Steam allows you to create backups so you don't have to redownload later.
