not a strong enough argument.

MGS, FFVII/VIII/IX/GT2/RE2... Even on the Gamecube I liked REmake's 2 disc package. Now, I might've been 12/16 years old respectively, but back then no-one made a big deal about something as trivial as multiple discs. AAAAARRRRGGGHHHH! IT'S A NON-ISSUE! This is coming from someone who loves his shiny Blurays and his PS3 btw. |
but it doesn't scratch, and has all this space and makes my games look awsumer unless its made by a 3rd party pub.! god i love sarcasm.
i agree its such a non-issue. as long as everyone gets the full game then who cares.

Actually that's a major bonus for me as I can just leave a pile of discs lying next to my ps3 and not worry about it.
Thing is, no-one mentions that aspect of it. And besides, we've been making due with scratchable discs all these years anyway.
The longer this gen is, the more powerful the next-gen consoles will be. And since the games still look nice to my eyes, I'm willing to wait another 2 years for something truly impressive.
Why would they do that when they are still selling large amount of hardware at a profit, selling tons of software, and making an absolute killing of Xbox Live subscriptions.
Don't get me wrong they will need a new console but not for another two years or so, same with the PS3. If either Sony or MS release earlier than that it would be a pretty damn big error IMO the market wouldn't support them.

Yes, the consoles for this gen are starting to show their age graphically, 360 a little more so, but I could careless. If graphics were the most important thing to me I would have a gaming PC right now. If up to me I wouldn't release a new Xbox until 2014. |
yea i'm still partial to 2020. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=107345&page=1

I agree. The more Sony and MS keep this gen going the more support they will get next gen.
@Dr. Grass
Exacty. In addiction to more powerful hardware it will also be cheaper to build which means less cost effective to MS and Sony.

I don't think I could wait that long lol. 2016 at the latest for me.

i've heard that before.
really that was about (ps3) pricing and the cost of game development. its not a bad idea considering for one we know ps3 will still be on the market in 2020.
