PlayStation Vita didn't have all the headlines to itself today. Sony's pre Tokyo Game Show press conference also had the announcement of the latest PlayStation 3 color variations.

Splash Blue and Scarlet Red variations are due out on November 17. Priced at ¥29,800, these will include a 320 gigabyte hard drive and all the usual accessories.

According to Sony, Splash Blue is meant to make you think of the splashing water and the sea, and scarlet red the shining sun and flame. See if they succeeded in these goals below.

Came all over that blue PS3....Hope it come state side, would love to have an excuse to add a 3rd ps3 to the house.

I wonder if the USA gets a new colour with Europe getting the white one and Japan these two new colours. They should release a gold PS3 in USA alongside Uncharted 3.

Gold would be cool. I don't care, just bring us some new colors. I love my black Ps3, but I need to buy another one and I don't want to buy Black again. I'm holding out for a different color.

I wonder why we dont see them outside of Japan.

I'd love for one of those colors to come over to the US; hell, I'd for any other color than black to be released in the US.
