Forums - Nintendo - Reuters: Nintendo Faces End Of Era After 3DS Flop

I reckon this 99cent mobile phone gaming shit is gonna lead to a similar 'video game crash' scenario like what all those shit disposable games did to the atari back in '83.

What are analysts going to say if the 3DS is one of this holiday seasons hottest items? Cheap mobile gaming is a passing fad? Whatever! So much shit talking.

why everyone is trying to bring Nintendo down?

is that a new SOny move? Shitting the other party knowing that Vita is dead?

I mean is 3D console is dead... how dead is Vita? nothing new for that!

and failure does not means not being as good as the past console but fial to sell and 3DS will not fail, is not failing!

how are these comments by industry analysts on a nintendo platform at all related to sony?

Hey Investors not everyone wants to buy the .99 cent hot garbage on smart phones. K?....K.

AGREED. Most of those games are sooooooooooooooo simple. They are as deep as a drop of rain.

I'm convinced the business world just wants Nintendo to either make games for the iPhone or make their own smartphone. The idea that a specialized electronic device can exist in this day and age puzzles them.

These analysts must be bad if they have people whiteknighting for them.

This, the poor bastards just dont get it, but there probably not gamers. I will say this though, why not just have say like Ninty classics available on IOS?? Like the first Mario Bros. etc. Square has FF1 and 2 and Tactics. This doesnt stop them from keeping the original content on their own systems

I am glad he is able to use freedom of speech to give his analysis.

Now I will use my freedom of speech to say that he doesn't know what the sam heck he's talking about.

Square Enix does not make their own hardware, and is not a competitor to Apple. And it's not like Apple can port some of their classic games to the 3DS as a trade. They have none. Besides, Nintendo sells their old games at $4 to $10 apiece. Will people really buy Ice Climbers instead of the 99 cent download of the day that gets a 96 on Metacritic? And if they do, will it be worth giving their competitors an answer to the 3DS's own virtual console AND a bit of cash from every purchase?

I dont think putting the original Mario Bros. on IOS is going to deter anyone from buying a 3DS, i dont think people are buying 3DS for playing old games they already have. I can see the point of competing against VC, but just about everyone has a smart phone, alot more than people have 3DS or will have 3DS, that is a huge market that they could tap into im they wanted. IMHO
