If it hits me back, then ill hit it back and well....i think fighting with a controller will be justification for the mental damage I will end up being inflicted upon.
Yep

One of the things I thought was precisely that it could be a little uncomfortable for other kinds of games, the design I did was mostly an experiment to see what people here thought about the idea (and because I would prefer a symmetric position instead of crossed like on xbox). Something that could help on a design like that could be making R3 (and L3) the most relevant buttons (such as X and O) on most games so that it would still be comfortable for games like plataformers. Making those buttons more sensitive would also help. |
That would be interesting although the buttons would need a lot of work. There would need to be balanced to make sure the joysticks allows responsive movement while also allowing the player to press them (just think about pushing the analog stick forward and pressing it at the same time to jump). It would be difficult, especially in fast-paced situations where someone would need to perform multiple jumps in quick succession. Its possible, but the buttons would need a lot of fine-tuning from where they currently stand.
I wasn't sure when I made my original post if you actually made the concepts, but I have to say it is a very nice job.... much better than I could come up with.
The last one seems the most likely to be useable with my monster hands
The only adjustment I really want is concave triggers. Everything else is fine IMO.

Ah the birth of a new fighting game ONLY ON PLAYSTATION, a warning to you I have patented your idea and the indigenous Australian's are ready to sue too seeing they have the boomerang idea all sewn up, although "some time in the last 40,000 years" is a litle vague and a long time to hold a patent.
Research shows Video games help make you smarter, so why am I an idiot

Im not worried. After playing this game you will forget all about it.

don't think so the term ground breaking was actually coined in reference to my head.

Here is my favorite concept for a revision on the PS3 controller (taking out the center X symbol, of course, and replacing it with a Sony symbol):

While it was a nice attempt, couldn't you have used the one with a nice D-pad.

put the analog sticks in the same positions as the 360's controller, i like that better for fps. if sony made only that change the dualshock could survive another few generations i believe.
