Can Disney beat Universal's record 2015 domestic gross - $2.445 billion?

It will fall short of tha... 4 13.33%

Finding Dory, Doctor Stra... 20 66.67%

It's going to be very cl... 6 20.00%

Total:30

Judging by the comparison between Interstellar's and Thor: TDW's BO performances, Interstellar might just hit $180M in domestic revenue. Its worldwide tally is completely dependent on how much longer it can hold in SK and China. The best case scenario is a figure close to $700M.

P.S.: I was definitely expecting a bit more from this movie, gross-wise. A performance on par with Inception, to be more precise, but I'm fine with the way it's wrapping up. That being said, Interstellar is one of my favorite movies of all time, having seen it 3 times already.

Exodus first day was kinda weak which is pretty good news for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1.

Seems like either GOG or Mockingjay will win the BO this year.
Is it too early to talk about 2015? Avengers vs. Star Wars?

Looks like Blackhat bombed and that American Sniper will easily become Clint Eastwood's highest grossing movie. Also just a couple more days before Mockingjay will surpass GOG at the domestic box office still didn't get its discount legs yet either so it should eventually make at least 10 million more the GOG did domestically.

Here's to hoping that Kingsman will make $40m. this weekend.
Watched it with the fam and we all loved it!

The church scene was crazy good.

Unfortunately it didn't get there since 50 Shades of Terrible made over $80 million dollars.  Well at least American Sniper made it over the $300 million dollar mark domestically that movie is pretty good still not Eastwoods best movie about war which is still Letters from Iwo Jima.

Mockingjay > AS > GotG

Also, no chance a Star Wars beats The Avengers.

I don't know American Sniper might just have a chance to be the highest grossing domestic movie of 2014 it all depents on how much it can make the next couple of weeks and weekends.  Its only been in wide release for 32 days and compared to how much Mockinjay made in its first 32 days its actually ahead by over ten million.  That being said its still going to take a while before it will become the highest grossing war movie of all time its still almost $100 million behind Saving Private Ryan's world wide total.

Star Wars can beat Avengers, it just comes down to whether or not Avengers disappoints whereas Star Wars is well received. Not impossible.

Marvel isn't full proof, a lot of people didn't like Iron Man 2 as much as the first one for example, Thor kinda had a similar issue with its sequel too (though I enjoyed both about the same). Cap 2 obviously outdid the first one.

Good point but even though Iron Man 2 was a lot worse then the first one it still managed to make $38 million more then the first one world wide.  So in order for Star Wars to make more money Avengers 2 has to be a lot worse then the first one.
