Frozen is still doing great in Korea. It was number 1 movie over the weekend for the 6th straight weekend. Now stands at $66.4m. Crazy! It overtook UK as the biggest foreign market for Frozen.
2nd week drop in China is only 3% at $8.2m.
If it does equally well in Japan, $700m is possible for Frozen in the foreign market.

Frozen now has $579m in foreign market!
Going over $600m in foreign market will be easy. Now let's see if it can go over $700m.
Domestically, it's heading towards $400m.
Wow, can it go over $1.1b globally? Amazing.

Lego Movie is a hit, but not so much in the foreign market. The movie was really good.

Which is kinda odd since Lego toys are just as popular overseas as they are in the US.  It still going to make a decent amout of money overseas since its not going to open in all markets until the 17th of April.

So The Lego movie has actually opened in more countries than Frozen? 43 compared to 41. I wonder which countries have yet to have Frozen open in their cinemas, aside from Japan that is.

Frozen's run has ended in some countries so it put that number down, it only has Japan left.

The Lego Movie will make over 75% of its money in North America and Europe that is where the toys are most (very) popular.  I'm sure it will make a lot of money in Germany and it doesn't open there until April 10th.  It already made more money then I thought it would because when I first heard about it I never expected it to be very good also most movies released in January and February are usually only mediocre at best.

Lego did pretty well this weekend. It should keep up being popular
Sony Studios had another bad weekend.
Frozen is now only $20m away from $1B. unbelievable.

Good to see Kevin Costner getting busy these days. Though he is not a great actor, I like his movies.
Though I will wait for his movie on DVD.

Next movie for me is The Muppet Movie.

Happy to see Frozen do so damn well. One of the best   if not the best Disney movie  I have seen since The Incredibles  and that's saying a lot since that movie is one of my favorite animated movies of all time.

The Lego Movie is doing better then good. Also a sequel is already in the works that pretty much speaks volumes of its success because movies that don't do well usually don't get sequels. It will probably stay as the highest grossing movie of 2014 world wide until Captain America: The Winter Soldier comes out in April and the highest animated movie until Rio 2 comes out.

Did pixar help with frozen at all?

Nope. That's what makes Frozen even better. It shows that Disney doesn't need to rely on Pixar like they usually do in order to make great animated movies!
