Nowhere in his quote did he state that Uncharted isn't world class. All he said is that he would like it for the 3rd person genre to have a world class title like COD, unless there is more of what he said regarding the matter than you quoted. He wasn't bashing UC at all, you are just overreacting.

Whether COD is world class or not is a different matter altogether, but no one can deny that its the best-selling in the world currently.

I disagree. The competition in this case (Naughty Dog) wins GOTYs, on the other hand IWs parent company pays for them.

I don't think he meant what this article makes it seem like he meant. He was just trying to hype his game, and the author kind of just strangled the original comment for some hint of a dig. He's trying to emphasize that his game is world class, doesn't mean Uncharted isn't also. But yeah, he could have worded it better.

Hate to say it but Uncharted doesnt even sell half of what COD does. Im guessing a world class game is a game that sells well worldwide. And currently COD Black OPs has sold double of what uncharted sold in every region including japan. Playstation owners dont really know how to support their best franchise so unfortunately Uncharted will nver really be "World class" franchise.
