Squall is dead, for example, is a far more interesting theory and an exceedingly more valid one.

FFVIII , is just full of theorys (or just crappy plotholes LAWLS), thats why i like the game, it never really tells you what is what.

I have my own romantic image of the game, that's why I'm so happy to talk about it and jump on theories. But yes, the holes are there regardless. Sometimes it just makes NO FREAKING SENSE.

=p Well I always enjoy those game theory vids (Bioshock, sonic, Spartan armour), the vid with the guy getting those sticks through his body creep me out;

Squall is alive, Aeris is dead.

We never see any air leaving her lungs. And we never exactly see her drown from the scene with Cloud to the scene without Cloud. In fact, she's actually floating in scene with Cloud. And the fact that she reach the deep part of the lake, means that her body went floating for a while until it finally drown.

Also, Cloud would easily note the difference. He was and super soldier trained by the government, or something like that. None person with that rank would make such a mistake. I mean, come one....
