4+ Years id say it will take us to start seeing them consoles being emulated in a state that games can be run.

Both 720 and PS4 will be very similar to a PC: CPU, GPU, RAM. I expect games could be made to run on a PC fairly easily as long as there isn't other custom hardware we don't know about.

One reason I never bothered with Dolphin was because of having to buy a certain DVD drive for rawdump.
(LG-8164b or LG-8163b or LG-8162b or LG-8161b).

It would be nice to play some Wii games at a higher resolution with AA enabled but I'm not overly fussed, got far too many games to play on Steam as it is.

Running Dolphin may be the reason I upgrade my PC. Still undecided but seeing titles run like this makes it pretty damn tempting

I will also ad that no forum rules have been broken and you're just whining like someone who doesn't know what he's talking about.

Just to recount the amount I've spent on consoles over the years:

NES + ~50 games (all original)

Megadrive + ~ 30 games (all original)

PSOne + ~ 25 games (all original)

PS2 + ~ 30 games (all original)

Gamecube + ~25 games (all original)

Xbox + ~ 15 games (all original)

Xbox 360 + ~ 10 games (all original)

Wii + ~ 15 games (all original)

PS3 + ~ 25 games (all original)

 

That's a shit load of money I've spent. I haven't bought a single piece of pirated ANYTHING from ANYONE over the last 23 years of gaming. If I want to emulate games I already paid for (Metroid Prime, Mario Gaalaxy, Wind Waker) then I sure as hell will.

Get your facts straight and stop acting goody-two-shoes. Most gamers here don't pirate.

Even on latest dolphin the framerate and stability of games is not good and hurts the gaming experience significantly.

Yeah sure. That's true.

But the Gamecube had it's run. That's the way of the world. Would you rather NOT have these all-time-classics in beautiful HD for all to appreciate?

Seeing Metroid Prime in HD makes my wallet open for Ninty like a whore's legs on her honeymoon.

And if you know what you're doing then the emulation is fine.
