how do you explain the appendix, nictitating membrane, goosebumps etc in humans? All are useless in their current state implying that they were useful at some point in the past when humans had a different physiology... well either that or god made some bad mistakes when we were on the drawing board 

Look I don't believe in god.
Though a being of a higher intelligence I think is a possibility. Maybe some people would consider this a god.

this universe is so big, and to think that we are the highest state of intelligence seems doesn't seem any less farfetched than the belief in a god or higher being.

Also, many of the theories people that believe in science believe. Most people do not fully understand(including me, and most people that aren't specializing in what they believe in), "theories" have been proven incorrect or changed many times.

Now, obviously I favor trusting science over trusting the reasons to believe in god.
They are not so different in my opinion.

how does one KNOW there is no God. Do you bet your eternity on it. Have you made up your mind before you even look? If you believe you are here from chance why do you even care about God. What ppl do and think makes no difference because nothing matters and all is for nothing.The bible is the only book in which God tells you who he is, why your here, and why their is so much pain and that we are a fallen sinful people and need him. The other religions tell you to WORK your way to heaven.

uhhh no offense but the bible has been severly tampered with and therefore cannot be exactly trusted either. For all we know we coul be follwing the will of king james or one of the popes. (the church was a business after all)

So, how exactly does believing there is a God control anyone?  Your reasoning is suspect, and your approach won't produce anything.  What happens when you go and try to prove that there is a God, is you hit the limits of human reasoning when trying to deal with issues like determinism vs free will.  Also, if you want there to be physical evidence, then how would any physical evidence prove anything, outside of there is some entity who can possibly defy the laws of physics.  And if such an entity does it, is the entity supposed to then be on call every time someone wants to set up an experiment, to provide the repeatability that the scientific method calls for?  Or, would it be ok to do it just one time, and then have future generations trust that the entity exists?

If you want proof that God exists, then come up with some sort of experiment you would like to see that would meet your measure of what it takes to believe, and then analyse such to show it is a valid experiment.  If you want just experiences, then I suggest going into the realm of paranormal and you will find a number of testimonials that would show there is weirdness out there.

And you think these books are telling you the truth. Evolution is the biggest lie of the last hundred and fifty years written by people who dont believe in God to begin with. An interesting watch is No Intelligence required. I think thats the name. It shows if your a high ranking scientist and you believe in intelligent design, because the facts point that way. they will take your funding away and kick you out. Does that sound like honest and true science. You must not believe in God, even though the facts will tell you otherwise. Explain in evolution, the dragonfly, or a butterfly, a woodpecker which has special feet, beak a cavity around its head so it doesnt pound its brain well it goes pecking a tree, It also has special feathers to tripod itself on a tree. Try finding that in a scientific book, its hard to find because scientist cant explain it so they leave it out. These traits have to be their from the beginning or the woodpecker would die.

"would tell you how to live your life" - Coming from God, it would be better understood as Him showing what life really is all about. Not just about Himself but how that affects you.

"condemn you to eternity in hell if you disobey him" - It`s not a question of obeying or desobeying. It`s more about why you did that: you rejected that He was the truth, path and life. In the end, you negated Him those atributes and gave them to someone else, something else or yourself.

"forgive you if you slap yourself across the face a few times and give $10 to the church" - Don`t know where you seen this, but giving money doesn`t get you salvation. The slap across the face could be read as repentance or reparation for your sins. Jesus called on Him all the sins to save us, when people repent with sacrifices (whatever they are) is a way of calling to yourself the pain caused to God by yourself and even others.

The question of being sent to hell is not what you did, it`s what you didn`t repent or regret.
The evidence you are looking for is in the Bible (who`s coming was foretold, on people`s claim for miracles and apparitions. You will find Him there.
