It seems werid seeing how all the other Mario Kart games arn't numbered at all. Why would they suddenly start with 7?  I would rather they just have named it Mario Kart 3ds instead of 7.

If you look at lower left corner of the box it points out that its only tempary ... It will most likely be called Mario Kart 3D

My guess is that Mario Kart 3DS sounds too similar to Mario Kart DS. I'm used to the bland names by now.

I hope not.
If it is, it won't get me to NOT buy it, but I will be mildly frustrated.....

7 is supposed to be a lucky number that may be the reasoning behind it lol

Mario Kart has never had a number.. its sub title is based on console or a design element ( Motion, coop karting)

I don't think so, i think it's temporary. Though on the latest US commercial they advertise it as "7"

Kinda reminds me of the whole "Windows 7" thing, I liked that name to be honest. Mario Kart 7 just doesn't sound right
