It does seem a bit like he's trying too hard to find something to complain about, and again spends most of the time complaining about his pet peevees with how Nintendo's franchises work. Lots of funny bits, but the scent of "not getting it" is thick on him like the stench of cheeseburger from his visit to the States. I'm probably treating it too seriously, but that's the image his accent is giving off. =P

Jumping on the "using gimmick as a generic negative word that doesn't mean anything" bandwagon was unexpectedly lame from Yahtzee. The thing that makes him funny isn't how he hates everything, but rather his striking combination of insight and bluntness. He's only really using half of his winning combination this week.

Well as usual he's funny but I agree with Naz, it's a lot better when his humor is tearing apart games that deserve it (or are open to it) rather than trying to make great games look bad. With bad games, or average games that the gaming press has declared great, you learn a good deal about the game from his largely one-sided reviews. In this case, and ZeldaPH (I haven't seen the Bioshock review but I'll take Naz's word on that one), you learn almost nothing about the game. Still funny, just not funny and informative which is what I like most about his reviews.

What Naz said. It was a funny review, but not as good as his other ones...simply because there's not much to make fun of with Mario.

I mean...bashing the motion controls? Ok, you can dislike them and mention that in your review...but it doesn't really make sense...most reviewers find the controls fine...not to mention it wouldn't be better with a GC controller, as picking up star bits would be a bitch.

He can say he doesn't like the controls or the camera...it just doesn't make for funny content unlike slightly crappier games with more to laugh about.

It was funny but I feel like they only said the bad things about SMG was to try make their video funnier, you can only really poke so much fun at SMG.
