Black Swan was actually a massive hit if you take into consideration it's pretty low budget (almost $330 mln at the BO, and a budget of just $13 mln.). Same goes for Silence of the Lambs actually.

Agreed! But they didnt reach blockbuster levels. That means they should have grossed more than 500-600M$ to be so.Have you seen Black Swan/Silence of the Lambs?

I have seen all the movies you mentioned except for The Social Network. I have never seen a Batman or Harry Potter movie in my life.

So I think both lists should be in the OP.

Is one of them your favorite of all time?

I don't really have a favourite movie of all time but I liked them all. I can't say that with Avatar or Pirates of the Caribbean (the sequels, the first was good). I was convinced to see them and... ugh.

Edit: and also I found Inception to be a piece of shit. Why is that movie so overrated? It's just an action flick in a brain...

Avatar has to be the most undeserving movie EVER.

I think James Cameron had a bet with himself: how cliché can you be while making gazillions?

It was a test of human intelligence. And humans lost.

I have to say I saw it in 2D, so I could appreciate best how shitty the story was.

What does the gross have to do with a movie's quality? You should better post a top 10 for every studio based on metacritic scores/imdb user scores.

Agree!

Also, since the OP is asking for the best distributor ever, we should also see which movies they made before. You know, since movies started.

Nothing beats the Transformers movies regarding the story though. They are ''...'' to say the least >__>

EDIT : You said Inception is shit?*retreats calmly and tries not to start a war*

I saw the first transformers because my date wanted to back then, but I don't regret it because the outcome was good (though I don't remember the movie). Can't comment on the second, though apparently both are shite.

Yeah, the concept of Inception was good but in the end it was an action movie for me. They didn't take advantage of the dream world at all, it was real life in a brain. Shooting, chasing, yawn. DiCaprio was so much better in Shutter Island that same year, that movie was great for me. Don't get me wrong, Avatar is in a whole level of suckiness, it's just that I was disappointed with Inception after hearing how good it was.

But we can't agree on everything, I'm sure I love some movies you hated.

Alright,I understand.Yeah,i can live with that .

And YES DiCaprio was awesome in Shutter Island,i totally forgot about that movie! While Inception is better than Shutter Island for me,they're not that far away, and DiCaprio is certainly giving a better performance in Shutter.Island
