What does the gross have to do with a movie's quality? You should better post a top 10 for every studio based on metacritic scores/imdb user scores.

Well... if you looked at the list, Most of the movies that get alot of money usually have very good quality. I dont really like Metacritic since critics these days are kinda biased and not really informative.

The people who go watch these movies with there hard earned money deserve to have a bigger voice in my opinion.  :)

So untrue.A studio's top movie is usually one with a very big budget, focusing on special effects and star power. Most of them are above average movies, like Avatar,Titanic, the Transformer movies, most of the harry potter movies.

Have you seen Black Swan?The Social Network?The Departed?The Shawshank Redemption?The Silence of the Lambs?The Shining?The Prestige?etc.

These movies are considered the best of the best by most who have seen them, but didn't do anywhere near as much money as the usual blockbuster movie.

None of them really. I guess Disney have the best list in the OP for me, so I'll vote for them.

Disney?!You must be reffering to the  Pixar movies,right?:-p

I edited my OP, so no, not just theirs.

Let me guess..Alice in Wonderland?OR The Lion King.Must be one of these 2.

I say disney pixar

I don't love any of the movies in their top 10 list. It'd just be less painful than, for example, watching all those Harry Potter films, or being forced to watch Transformers 1 again (and then having to watch 2 and 3 afterwards O_o), or having to watch all the Star Wars films, or Universal's 'comedies', or The Da Vinchi Code.

Hmm,interesting.I dont like the movies you've listed as well, except Episode 3.Might i ask whats your top 5 then,in no special order?

Disney for sure! just because of their animation. Universal is a very close second as it gave my my two favorite movies E.T. and Gladiator.

I have seen all the movies you mentioned except for The Social Network. I have never seen a Batman or Harry Potter movie in my life.

So I think both lists should be in the OP.

Black Swan was actually a massive hit if you take into consideration it's pretty low budget (almost $330 mln at the BO, and a budget of just $13 mln.). Same goes for Silence of the Lambs actually.
