Yoshizumi did not share the number of pre-orders the game has received. However, back in July, the game had already topped 80,000 pre-orders. Retailer promotional materials from Namco Bandai listed an expectation of 200,000 pre-orders, which would put the game above the 140,000 pre-orders for the PS3 version of Vesperia.

With 200,000 pre-orders, the game would already have sold near the equivalent of the Xbox 360 version of Vesperia and half that of the PS3 version.

Tales of Xillia is due for release on September 8.

That's good news. We can expect a 300-350K first week, which would be slightly under PS2-era Tales of, but not bad. And by the way why in the hell are playing Tales of Graces on Wii?

i expect Tale's Of Xillia to do 700k JP-lifetime or maybe even 1 million JP-lifetime!

Yeah we're tracking Tales of Xillia on the COMG thread and we're expecting it to do 350k-400k FW (perhaps more). It should end up being the best selling 'Tales of' game outside the Destiny series in Japan.

Yea its destiny in japan though its symphonia worldwide. Unless you include destiny ps1 and ps2 as the same.
