Forums - Nintendo - "Who's to Blame for Nintendo's Missing Wii Games, we are." - I beg to differ. My buttal

your rebuttal is spot on. who me take the blame for bad games? cold day in hell, and if the member that made this Article had any brains they would have put more thought into before writing this crap.

who in hells name wrote this article? they start off by considering other m and the conduit good games, and thats a lie. those games suck'd.

i'll take a digg at the op and resent the comment about HD gamers being easy to plz, cause if you know me and have seen my posting history you'd know i'm not easy to plz as a PC, Sony, or Nintendo fan, but i'll let it fly because it was part of a damn good argument.

i'd say 60% of the Wii owners are casual gamers, 30% are core/hardcore gamers looking for more then just Mario, and 10% are hardcore. the market has been deceiving for Nintendo so i wouldn't say those percentages are correct.

i could have sworn the last remnant and infinite un-discovery were to of the worst reviewed RPG's this gen so why would i even bother with that crap and wasn't those games on the 360? bad comparison when the 360 caters to mostly America. mostly all games sell beter on PS3 unless there just crap like the games being referred to by the person that made this highly flaw article. i guess journalistic integrity died along time ago.

i also never new 200,000 units of software meant failure! hell for some ip thats expected.

the decline of popular JRPG's! when did they release the good ones on any system other then handhelds and PC? noted there are few and i own to of them but when your not making quality JRPG's ht do you expect?

i refuse to take any blame for the failures made by any multi-billion dollar company.

the op brings up an argument i've made several times since coming to VGC.
not only is its Nintendo's responsibly, but its also MS and Sony's responsibility to crank out quality ip in every genre to there console which is something MS is lacking in comparison. its also there job to cater to every gamer supporting every genre, but as you can see the big 3 lack in certain genres.

in closing the op did a damn good job.

you are of course basing that on cold hard facts as opposed to wishful-thinking and anedocs right??  look at my other post about opportunity cost -- xeno is a poor investment for nintendo.  the wii doesn't have an active userbase for this kind of game, as much as you'd like to believe that...

Umm...have you seen the other sales of games in the UK or are you just trying to cherry pick? And that's also 1 day of sales. France is doing much better - reports of the game being sold out and 38k copies shipped. Xenoblade is doing well in regards to the state of the UK gaming market.

When I look at HW sales charts and I see the Wii selling very similarly to the other two consoles, it's hard not to take people saying that the Wii is "dead" as a joke.

I don't see how there could plausibly be 38,000 shipped to just France when the UK seems to have gotten not even close to that many or the sell through for UK has been terrible.  If you're expecting anything for first week over 30-40k for all of EU I think you are going to be sorely dissapointed.

I bet you didn't even read it. Lol.

Come on now, how many threads will you try to put Xenoblade down I wonder...?

Uh, of course I read it. I just think it is spot on.

What makes you think i was "putting xenoblade down" on this post..?

Do you think it's spot on because it relates to something negative about the Wii/Nintendo?

Judging from your post history, that clearly seems to be the case.. ;)

Your problem, OP, is that you take VGC articles seriously.
Grab a pinch of salt and laugh a little.

How is an analysis based on facts by any means negative?

Because it's putting the blame on Wii owners for not buying those games. Whether it be true or not, you're just agreeing with it because you don't like Nintendo.

what are these Facts you speak off?? Because the games mentioned were not critically received well, especially in the case of the Conduit.

Where is anything that indicates it's a joke article?

For that matter, where is a link to the article?
