Great... the weakest PS3 territory in Europe.

strongest

highest sales.

Sorry... all others consoles sells better than PS3 in UK... so weakest.

PS3 is stronger in Japan even it selling less numbers than US.

Soory, but no.

Ask Sony which their strongest markets are... they deal in raw sales numbers not some other spurious factor.

Their answer would be the US, Japan and the UK.... in that order.

Dude... US and UK territories are the weakest.

Sony needs to do better numbers in these countries.

We gonna see real effect during holiday season.

Slightly better than I expected but it will be more interesting at what level it stabilises over next weeks

Dude... no

The 360 sells more per head of population in the UK than in France and Germany and in larger real numbers than in any country in Europe.  It is its strongest region in Europe.   Xbox and Wii just happen to be stronger.  You can spin it all you want... those are the facts.

I can show to you facts.

UK ranking

1. 360
2. Wii
3. PS3

France ranking

1. PS3
2. Wii
3. 360

What territory PS3 is weak? What territory it needs more sales? It's to easy... why PS3 is losing the battle to 360? Because these weak sales territory like UK and US... if PS3 was doing better number in theses territories it already was over 360.

Have to say i do laugh when i read people saying stuff like "Weakest region" when talking about the UK PS3 numbers.

Because it is like saying a country with 5 people who all buy a ps3 = best region! Which is tarded.... That isn't how the real world works.

Some people say France is one of the best regions for PS3. It has a population of 65m. UK has a population of 63m. But yet the UK has sold 4m and in France it has sold 3m. if you look at it in a % terms in the UK 6.3% of the population own a PS3. In France 4.6% own a PS3.
You can do the same for all the other countries.
Japan = 128m population. 6.8m PS3's sold = 5.3% of the population own a ps3.
US = 312m population. 17m PS3's sold = 5.4% of the population own a PS3.
Germany = 82m population. 2.7m PS3's sold. = 3.2% of population own a PS3.
Italy = 62m population. 2.3m PS3's sold = 3.7% of population own a PS3
etc etc etc

In terms of the percentage of population that own a PS3 UK is the highest in the world based on the tracked nations.
Saying it is a "weak region" is pretty laughable when you look at it like that.

at last Sony is doing good in their weakest country in Europe, they should do a lot better in their stronger territory which isn't the UK because it's the weakest

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

Ok. PS3 needs sell more in UK or France? It's obvious for me... PS3 needs to steal market in UK, not in France.

thats irrelevant

which is its strongest market?

Where it has more market share... where it dominates.

That doesn't make sense?

Maybe i am being thick here but why does the PS3 need to steal the UK market and not the French market? France has a 3m+ more people living there then the UK but yet has 2% lower PS3 sales then the UK. If a country has a lower population but higher sales then another country that does not make it "weak". It makes it a strong region because it is selling above the average %. Countries like France should be selling a lot more PS3's because they are dominantly pro Sony, the other console (360) is way down the list in that region. PS3 almost doubling the 360 numbers weekly there.

As the figures show if you look at it in a population to console ratio the PS3 is doing much better in the UK then the other countries including Japan and US.

I am not calling you a fanboy... but thats fanboy mentality.  Sony only care about the actual sales numbers and market penetration.

The PS3 is in more homes in the UK than any other Euro country, it has sold more consoles in the UK than in any other Euro country.... and has sold more per head in the UK than in any other country on the planet.

The UK is the PS3's strongest market in Europe by pure numebrs and strongest in the world by market penetration.

PS3 is weak in UK... It needs more sales there.

Just because the culture of UK people is more videogame like not means PS3 sells good in UK... no it sells bad.

Brasil have more than 170 millions guys... any videogame have low numbers here... maybe one in each 100k buy a console... but the PS3 dominates here, and it is a strong market for Sony (we already have the PSN Store BR and a lot of PS3 titles localized to PT_BR).
