the day i've been waiting for has arrived! the original bubble bobble now on the VC!!!
great classic. must download... the music complements the game play perfectly.
though i doubt people born in the 1990s would be able to appreciate a gem like this one.

Sweet! That's one of the few NES games i sadly don't own. I'll have to get that when my wii is hooked up online.
I never could get a second friend to survive the last level with me, so i never got the happy ending.
It's not THE original from the arcade.
If it was as good quality as the arcade version I'd download it as it is my favourite game of all time.
Bubble Bobble rocks. And I was born in the 90's (well, technically '89, but only 1.5 months left in it

for shame Kasz216 that there was no internet or gamefaqs for you back in that day! I did not have a second person either, but alas it can be done alone. Beat the end boss with one extra life remaining. The very moment you beat him, pause the game, and push select to make P2 appear on the bottom right of the screen.
Wola! Happy ending achieved. You missed out on some awesome bonus levels BTW. 20 or 30 of them? Can't remember for sure.
I don't know if this trick will be implented on the VC version, but if its a perfect emulation of the game, we can certainly hope it still works.
Anybody own or played Bubble Bobble II. I never knew it existed until recently. Hopefully they will put that on VC also.
glad to see other people excited about this! my wife is a big puzzle bobble fan but knew knew about the one that got it all started... now i'll get to beat this game with her in 2-player mode! hurrah! (assuming she actually likes it)

Hell yes! One of my favorite co-op games on the NES, even moreso than Contra. Definitely worth the $5 if you have someone to play it with.

anyway I'd pick this up if I didn't already have the nes cart,
though in this rare case I'd like to have the sega master system release over the nes
