I have not played God of War 3 fully yet (a few sessions here and there round at my buddys)
But one thing i can say for sure............ Castlevania: LOS is much better than God of War 1 & 2.

I"ve only played one castlevania game ever and that one was SOTN,that is one of my favorite games of all time, when they make a great updated version of that game, let me know, but until then no game in the series will ever measure up to that one.
I could have sworn you weren't the first.

Lol. You're like the 4th person in this thread to say this...
SOTN must have done something right.
I'd have to disagree although it is nice to see LoS getting some recognition. The game is good but I really love GoW3's setting and awesome gameplay.
I haven't played LoS, but I've played GOW3 on hard up to the Hades fight(got stuck there, hehe) and I've played Darksiders up to the end of the second dungeon. Personally, I think it'd take a long time before anything will beat GOW's combat, but overall, I enjoyed Darksiders more. In fact, the major downside of the game is the lead character but the puzzles were refreshing, the art was beautiful and since I hadn't gotten my horse yet, it played like a more linear zelda to me but the combat made up for that and didn't feel like a GOW rip off combat system.
I can't wait to get back to that game, beat it, then beat Darksiders II on the WiiU in future. If it's in the same genre as GOW3, then I'd have to say it's my fav in the genre. Also, GOW is better than DMC imo but I prefer Dante as a lead character.

It's available for download on the 360 and PS3. You didn't ask this and I'll probably be raped for saying this but.....I think that all of the GBA/DS Castlevanias are better than Symphony of the Night. Youtube it to see if its what you think it is before going out of your way to play it. I do recommend that you grab a PS3 or a 360 (or even a PSP) but not for SotN.
I agree with the OP whole-heartedly. God of War 3 was good but Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is a masterpiece that crushes GoW in all the areas the OP listed. I adore the game.

I own all the DS games but haven't played them yet. I plan on playing them in the order in which they were released. Is that a good idea? I owned a PSP before I got my Wii & DS but that thing spoils too easilly. I plan on buying the following consoles in this order within the next 3 years:
3DS by March next year
PSP soon after the 3DS
PSV 3G model after its first price cut
XBox360 with Kinect after the next price cut
WiiU at least 2 years into it's life cycle. at the very least
