Forums - General Discussion - Riot control methods of the future?

NiKKoM said:
Neh.. riot control methods are fine now.. it's just the English not knowing how to use them..

Exactly... plus if a riot becomes to big than its a sign that things are bad, they need to change and a riot is needed. Thats how basicly a revolution is born. So why controll it?

Also it looks far more expensive then a fire truck

This cannot possibly end well.

Seen this on History Channel a few times. It basically cause your body to feel like the water in you is bubbling / weird pain feeling. So basically it makes whoever it is being pointed at to want run away from it. Soldiers would line up on the history channel episode (a mock riot) and pretty much after a few seconds of being exposed to it they would scatter.

I wonder if you could just put on a bunch of tin foil (or something like it) and protect yourself from it?

Spray the crowd with machine gun fire ;_;

Not only would that stop the riot relatively quickly but it would also serve as a deterrent to future riots

Plus it's a lot more humane than spraying everyone with radiation and giving them cancer

This.  It'll make sure citizens will think twice before starting a riot.

It isn't stopping them in Syria.  If people want change no matter how many you kill it will just make them stronger (aka Iraq/Afghanistan war).

Absolutely not.
There were times where such machines would have caused huge protest waves. This basically allows governments to control and suppress the masses. Do you really think this is a good idea?

Would you rather that the masses caused harm to others? At least this way we're harming the people that deserve it

...And later people who peafully protest.

People starting riots? Wave 'em.

People protesting against the government? Wave 'em.

People peacefully demonstrate for human/animal rights? Wave 'em.

I see your good intentions, but don't be naive. Don't you agree that it can't be a good idea to give the governments and the police such power?

Well everybody there already has a crazy mindset from all the wars and they all can easily get access to guns.  I dont think London is the same which is why this would work lol.  But yea places like Syria needs a different control method then.

Sane policy would be a good start.

wht ever worked in the past
