LOL, for a minute I thought the title said 'no comet-related deaths in 2010', and that such deaths had actually taken place before.

"I don't understand how someone could like Tolstoy and Dostoyevsky, but not like Twilight!!!"

"Last book I read was Brokeback Mountain, I just don't have the patience for them unless it's softcore porn."

(The Voice of a Generation and Seece)

"If you cant stand the sound of your own voice than dont become a singer !!!!!"

                                                                               (pizzahut451)

Could be a Gamma ray buster from within ~ 100,000 light years. This game is fun.

There are many more things that could go wrong.

Who said it had to be a comet, Might be a solar flare or aliens might kill us. Maybe something goes wrong at the earths core so it explodes

No way in hell would it be aliens....  They're too sophisticated to waste their time killing us.  We don't have anything remotely for them to use.  And, due to evidence in our chromosomes, and what can and cannot happen in nature, there's proof that humans were artifically created.  But... We clone our live-stock, so, it's totally not impossible.

And, rather that's what happened, or not, I could care less, because it changes nothing.

But, yeah, don't count on aliens getting us, unless they want to "start over," but, then, why do that if you're going to disarming nukes?  So, I'm going to say aliens are the good guys, here...

However, a solar flare...  Totally not out of the question..  That's what I would put my money on, if anything at all were to happen.

But, I don't think there's a comet due to hit earth until 2880...  Or some other year that's several hundred years from now...   But, I'm not going to waste what time I have worrying about dying because of what people think happens to you after death.  That's why there's atheists.  If you look for god in a place he isn't, of course you wont find him.  And, I refuse to go any deeper into this.

Don't worry about death, just.... chillax, and be a good person.

The mayans never predicted that the world is going to end...
For them this is the third time (i'm not sure, it may be fouth or fifth time) the world is going to end. But for them the meaning of that is "the world as we know it". After this, according to them, the calendar resets., and "a new era begin".
So, what the mayans really sayd was that in 2012 there was going to be a radical change, and the world is going to be different (this can be political, economical, a natural disaster, everything).

I quote a TV show ""The 21st century is when everything changes. And we have to be ready."  (Yes I know it doesn't relate to 2012 directly).

Have you seen the show Apocalypse Island on Discovery or history? There is an island that they think has one giant statue on it that was made specifically for the end in 2012. I cannot remember what it was they were supposed to see from space though.

Another meteor made of lava, fire and uranium will come out of a black hole and destroy us.

That is what I would believe. They have camera's everywhere all the time. But who can predict a black hole?

Well, if Obama bends over, then all would be lost for the US.

Despite this little tidbit of news, there is still going to be tons of people making irrational statements about our deaths in 2012.

Should be entertaining hahaha

It'll probably make it easier to buy a WiiU on launch day.

My dad believes this, he's fresh to the internet and hasn't quite learnt that people tend to talk complete bollocks on internet forums. He believes there is some kind of link between comet Elenin's alignments and earthquakes. He goes on about it too much, if he mentions it again at inappropriate times (just like my grandma's funeral) I will drag him to a mental hospital.

Oh well, if something earthquake related does happen (which it won't), you heard it here first (apparently I should keep an eye out for the date 26/09/2011 for the next major earthquake).
