Nintendo will probably sell a years worth of software and hardware in 2 months, as usual. 3DS will finally be the hit it should be with Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7, but sadly Kid Icarus will probably be a minor flop. Kirby will do OK on both plattforms and Layton 4 will be a big hit. Skyward Sword will sell, but it will not be a systemseller.

Maybe Wii will have at least 1 week selling just over 1M, skyward sword should spark interest in the system com black Friday.

Buying in 2015: Captain toad: treasure tracker,

mario maker

new 3ds

yoshi woolly world

zelda U

majora's mask 3d

we also have twilight princess as wii select, maybe people will pick it up and then also want to buy skyward sword.

Don't know about Wii, but definitely the 3DS is looking to be a HUGE hit this fall. That stuff should be flying out of store shelves like hotcakes.

GO NINTENDO!!!!!!!!!!!!

not Wii but the 3DS looks to be in rare form.

3DS? Yes. After Mario Kart Drops on December 4th, the week leading up to Christmas Day will be HUGE.

The Wii? No. I think Xbox 360 is taking it all this year. Japan is still a tossup between Wii & PS3.

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

Wii + 3DS + DS > PS3 + PSP+ Vita? Yes.
3DS > Vita? Duh, Vita is Japan only.
DS > PSP? Always.
Wii > 360 or PS3? No way.

I think that 3DS has a chance of becoming the portable console of choice this Christmas. Its new price isn`t that high above DS and with Mario 3d Land, Kid Icarus, Starfox and with Mario Kart 7, 3DS will appeal to just about anyone. Of course some older and newer titles will help sell the console.

The Wii is another issue... i think this year Nintendo will have to carefully choose bundles to attract gamers and casuals. The only big titles coming for it are Zelda and Just Dance 3, not forgetting about Kirby, Rayman Origins, Go Vacation and Nintendo Select titles that could also help sell the console.

Last year Nintendo had bundles for Mario Kart Wii, NSMB Wii and Wii Fit. This year i am expecting at least a dedicated Just Dance 3 bundle.
Besides this one, Nintendo could offer a Wii + Wii Fit for a lower price and bundles for Zelda, Kirby and Nintendo Select titles aswell.
Nintendo did say that more bundles will be announced, so... anything is possible!

More than anything, Nintendo has to really appeal to casual gamers to make it big this Christmas.
