Does anyone have a direct comparison between the two?
My Wii is placed laying down and it looks exactly the same as this new one...

I have no idea, but it appears so. You cannot shrink the Wii much more, as a DVD still needs to fit inside.

Not a bad idea, I guess.
I already have a great Gamecube, but I could use a cheaper Wii.

Are there any practical advantages to playing Gamecube games on the Wii, guys? I don't think there are... but I'd love to know for sure.

I guessed that one was coming, but I was expecting it next year following the launch of the WiiU. Hopefully Wii's last Christmas as Nintendo's premier home console will be a good one, going out with a bang.
