9 is bad?

I am satisfied on my part. That is if it's coming in NA. Otherwise I hope it fails :)

Yeah, because NoE totally deserves to get punished for releasing this game. >_> I'm sorry, but unless you're a Monolith Soft hater or something I fail to see the logic here. If Xenoblade fails it will only hurt Nintendo of Europe, you know those guys that are responsible for this game getting out of Japan at all. The guys that do deserve to fail [NoA] won't take any harm at all. Heck, it would only make their decision more valid, and that's not what we want, is it?

I meant I hope it fails on the critics front. That way I won't want it so badly :)

Well this sucks.

How you can you justify the best RPG of the last 5 years not being here? :(

Well it's NoA policy. If they don't see 10 million in sales potential they won't localize it.

Who said it's bad?

Referring to rol's post above. 'Bad' was the wrong term. I meant more like 'not good enough'.

You know IGN can't take a break :/

The only time I feel the urge to get a Wii :(

"Life is but a gentle death. Fate is but a sickness that results in extinction and in the midst of all the uncertainty, lies resolve."

I think this will be the next game I buy. I want to finish of some other games first though.

Every high profile Wii game is compared against what the 360/PS3 are capable of technically, and docked points because of it.

Just a swift look through recent "big" titles on the Wii shows that isn't the case. Here are a list of "big-ish" titles on the Wii and their awarded 'graphics' score.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 - 10
Conduit 2 - 9
de Blob 2 - 8
Mario Sports Mix - 7.5
Mario All-Stars - 8
Disney Epic Mickey - 8.5
Donkey Kong Country Returns - 9
Sonic Colors - 9
Call of Duty: Black Ops - 7
Goldeneye 007 - 8.5
Wii Party - 6.5
SpiderMan: Shattered Dimensions - 8
Metroid: Other M - 9

Out of all those titles the only one docked points in graphics was CoD:BO because it actually released for the other platforms. The rest of those games (with the exception of Wii Party) 'allegedly' look as good, if not better than Xenoblade according to IGN. I don't think many would agree that Xenoblade is only 0.5 better in the graphics department than Wii Party. The worlds are more expansive than any of those titles while providing the same level of fidelity as any of those titles bar SMG 2. The art is excellent to boot. It's all simply seems because of what Rol has been stating - the reviewer wanted it to be on next gen platforms.

I'm sure more than a handful of people would be ornery if everything was compared to the tops of what a PC could push out.

Sorry, I should have specified that I was looking beyond IGN and to game reviewers in general.  Many games have been docked points for simply being on the Wii.

Good review, but he coulda said alot more it seems.

Oh, I see. That makes sense.

So -.5 for being on the Wii and another -.5 for being a jRPG.

Good score none the less. My copy was dispatched today from thehut.com

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

Conservatives:  Pushing for a small enough government to be a guest in your living room, or even better - your uterus.

Well, what do you want? Us to hope that a meteor falls in NoA's office?

Yes!
