Personally I think the time is up for Square-Enix to prove they can do anything worthwhile this gen. Out of every company represented Square has been the biggest disappointment since Microsoft kicked off this generation of console gaming back in 2005.

Square obviously needs help and needs it badly. Sony needs to have the PS3 go out with a bang or at least needs a steady flow of high quality games to keep the PS3 going up against new hardware (3DS, Vita and Wii U). What I would do is send a team to Square, offer to cover the additional resources til the project is done. This would ensure the title remains exclusive, Sony can patch up the damaged bridge between the two (something that should have happened a long time ago). Both companies stay face with the gamers because we get the game we want and Square finally finishes a project that people actually give a damn about.

There's no need for Sony to get involved. Even if Square Enix needs help, we don't know what areas of the game's development would benefit from it. Square Enix have already shown that they are at least competent with the system; everyone who's seen the current build of the game only have great things to say. Whatever problems the development process may or may not be experiencing likely has more to do with its creative direction. Sony's involvement would actually be entirely useless or even counterproductive.

No.

And after what I believe happened with LA Noire I'm sure SONY will agree with me.

Are you talking about the Team "No-Credit" thing?

Yeah, the PS3 kind of already has that. FFvXIII has gotten to a point where it's simply too late for Sony to do anything. In fact, I think most people won't care if the game gets ported to the 360 and the WiiU. I think Sony should just give SE the middle finger and go to whatever they're doing. SE currently has internal problems that are none of Sony's business.

I would argue that there are quite a few people who would be royally pissed off if (let's face it, when) Versus XIII goes multiplatform. In almost every Final Fantasy fans minds (my brain included) Versus XIII should have been the XIII release and the only XIII release.

No. There was a rumor before it was announced that Rockstar took over that SONY had invested over 20M into LA Noire and the team was produced next to no results.

I believe it.

Even though I still want very much to play this game, it won't make too big a difference to Sony at this point in time. Let Square Enix finish it so we can enjoy it when it comes out. It'll spike PS3 sales for a little while in 2013, mainly in Japan and that's it.

Yes let's do that.. That would be so insulting to SE that they will release all future games on the WiiU and 360...
