There's no need for Sony to get involved. Even if Square Enix needs help, we don't know what areas of the game's development would benefit from it. Square Enix have already shown that they are at least competent with the system; everyone who's seen the current build of the game only have great things to say. Whatever problems the development process may or may not be experiencing likely has more to do with its creative direction. Sony's involvement would actually be entirely useless or even counterproductive.
