without a doubt something unrealistic. Even if a miracle were to occur and Xenoblade Chronicles were to sell 800k, NoA would just claim that such numbers were only due to US importers and therefore there would be a reduced market in NA, justifying not localising the game.

This, they already have localized it in English for the english speaking European countries. They would just need to distribute the game in NA.
