will we be able to compare the graphs of historical data for different games like the vgchartz of old?

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

gamrdb.com would seem like a fitting name to run together with the "gamr" side of VGC, though it's not a very creative one

Nice! It's been awesome terrible to see VGC grow crumble, but after all the experimentation, I think this is the right way for the discussions to return to form.

fix'd

hopefully I do get to see it.

Huh? VGC certainly hasn't "crumbled" in any way - how do you come to that conclusion?

he must be talking about the forums.

I may be mistaken, but I can only view the top 40 (or so) games in the three different weekly charts. Before it was like 200 games in each chart. What's the reason for this? Sorry if someone else has already brought this up in this thread.

Will this include a further reduction on freely available charting info? One of my core reasons for liking the older style VGC was that it had far better charting options. Newer setup is just so limiting on its query capabilities as well as comparisons.

I know you have a business push to generate income from paid users... however, us armchair veterans just don't have the desire to pay for it.

Additionally, I'd recommend a major change in code base / DB design etc as the site is noticeably slower than other similar sites on any browser.

So wait. Is the forum going to be split between both websites? Are we still going to be able to talk about the games themselves on the sales-centric website? What about an off topic section?

Aside from this, kitler echoed my sentiments quite nicely.

So we might see VGchartz 6.0 soon?

I would really like to have an "embed" button for videos again, though I was quite surprised that after the update it was removed, and the current reply function makes it impossible for me to embed a video.. :/

playing right now: Xenoblade Chronicles

Hype-o-meter, from least to most hyped:  the Last Story, Twisted Metal, Mass Effect 3, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Playstation ViTA

bet with Mordred11 that Rage will look better on Xbox 360.

On the old site we used to be able to see from the game page how many people on the site had a game (and who) is that something that would return? Just curious why that was removed.
