as of now yes...the information that Square gave us for XIII-2 were just simply amazing and this will be the first FF this gen for me!

You really care about mini-games and NPC's? What if they completely ruin the story, the battle system or the music etc. Would it all be worth it for mini-games and NPC's?

That's what they did in FF XIII... except they forgot NPCs, I guess.

I will be waiting for good gameplay footage until I decide... as of now, no. I have no desire to torture myself again.

I won't make the same mistake twice, this time I rent it first or play at a friend before buying it.

updated: 14.01.2012

playing right now: Xenoblade Chronicles

Hype-o-meter, from least to most hyped:  the Last Story, Twisted Metal, Mass Effect 3, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Playstation ViTA

bet with Mordred11 that Rage will look better on Xbox 360.

Or what if the mini-games and NPC's are that good that people forget about the bad story?  If FXIII-2 has a collosseum I will get it.

Probably get the game like a half year after release, got the last one from the bargain bins for like 8 Euro.

I just hate the way people say that if Final Fantasy XIII-2 has mini-games then everything will be a-ok. You would have to be a pretty shallow gamer to care about mini-games over everything else.

I'm worried that Square Enix will not put any effort into the game because if they know it has mini-games, then all the original FFXIII haters will be like "OH IT HAZ MINI GAMES! FINAL FANTASY IS AMAZING AGAIN!"

Day 1. I can accept and embrace change.

To be honest I will likely buy this in spite of how much I LOATHED Final Fantasy XIII. why? because I love the series and I figure if they change and fix a few key issues (make a few alterations to the battle system, tell the story better, make it a bit less linear, give it some actual sidequests), it will turn out to be pretty good! Or at least tolerable.

My Console Library:

PS5, Switch, XSX

PS4, PS3, PS2, PS1, WiiU, Wii, GCN, N64 SNES, XBO, 360

3DS, DS, GBA, Vita, PSP, Android

hell yeah I will.
can't wait.

I said maybe depending on reviews/demo but it's really an almost definitely not, the game has to really impress me, and I'm going to be ignoring scores since a review that gave FFXIII a 10 is what made me decide not to get the game because it sounded so horrible

I have no plans to get it. They need to go old school with the franchise. Something like FF9 and i'll be happy.

Definitely the first one was great.
