I think it should really be, 'what do you think will be the second highest grossing movie of 2012' considering we all know the Dark Knight will almost certainly be first. For me, the battle for number 2 should either be the Avengers or the Hobbit (for which you should have included in your list).

Must Buy: Battlefield 3, Skyrim, Deus Ex:Human Revolution, Rage, Batman: Arkham City, Need for Speed: The Run, Assassin's Creed; Revelations, Ghos Recon: Future Soldier, Diablo 3, DotA 2, Dead Island, Mass Effect 3, Bioshock 2, Max Payne 3... Shit I needa rob a bank D:

The Dark Knight Rises easily, it will destroy Spiderman

Agree with most here the dark knight rises should win by a fair margin.

Although i didnt know the hobbit is releasing this year :? that might change things up.

Twilight shouldnt be on the list. As far as i know it doesnt come close to the big hitters.

The last twilight movie did pretty well on the box office, So i wont expect the final one to be any different.  :)

URGH seems like i misread the information on imdb :( it says 308 mil gross (worldwide) i assumed that was including USA, now i see its only half!

Stil the dark knight was over 1 billion gross so quite a way ahead of twilight :D

So all is well :)

@Shinobi: The last Twilight movie made 700 million dollars worldwide and the next two will most probably both top this result. I doubt that all of the movies listed in the poll can compete with Twilight at boxoffice.

Ice Age: Continental Drift is missing in the poll, though. The last Ice Age movie made almost 890 million dollars. People are still underestimating the worldwide boxoffice power of this movie franchise. Ice Age 4 will be one of the strongest contenders for Dark Knght and The Hobbit imo.

This! Especially considering that it will be in 3D, it can definately beat TDKR.

Almost certainly The Dark Knight Rises based on form and available trends.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Transformers will beat all of them up there. Wait, I am not shore if 3 comes out this year.

Well, I do think it will be The Dark Knight Rises.

That being the case, Spiderman, The Hobbit, and Ice Age will all be massive as well. Hell, with all of the amazing movies coming out next year, we may even be surprised that certain movies don't make as much as the past one because people have to pick between them.

Edit: Also you have to remember, I think The Dark Knight sales may have been slightly "inflated" due to the Ledger death (i.e. people going to see if because it was his last movie, and it was in the news so much because of this)

Money can't buy happiness. Just video games, which make me happy.

LOL, I had no ideea that TDKR releases in 2012. Out of that list it's biggest competition is The Amazing Spider-Man, which will be in 3D, and if it's good enough could probably beat it. There may be some other blockbuster that surprises though.

You have no ideea how wrong you are,The amazing Spider-man will be lucky to hit 750M WW,after the dissapointing SM3.And reboots  usually gross less than the originals,so that's another minus.

The Hobbit will be the real and only competitor for TDKR.

The Batman reboots seem to be doing much better than the original movies.
