If domestic, The Dark Knight Rises will win easily.

If international, The Avenger and The Hobbit might have a chance to make more than The Dark Knight Rises

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

TDK domestic, and The Hobbit worldwide.

When was The Flash announced?

I think The Dark Knight Rises will be the highest grossing in 2012

It has been confirmed for about a year now. :)

It's probably going to suck, knowing DC's track record. Their only good movies have been Superman 1,2 and the Batman movies.

Worldwide Box office Gross. Domestic+International.  :)

(Will update)

The Dark Knight Rises will almost certainly win

If you mean movies released in 2012: The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (it's scheduled for a Dec 2012 release and will make most of its profit in 2013).

If you mean movies which will make most or all of their boxoffice profits in 2012: Ice Age: Continental Drift.

Agree with most here the dark knight rises should win by a fair margin.

Although i didnt know the hobbit is releasing this year :? that might change things up.

Twilight shouldnt be on the list. As far as i know it doesnt come close to the big hitters.

The last twilight movie did pretty well on the box office, So i wont expect the final one to be any different.  :)

@Shinobi: The last Twilight movie made 700 million dollars worldwide and the next two will most probably both top this result. I doubt that all of the movies listed in the poll can compete with Twilight at boxoffice.

Ice Age: Continental Drift is missing in the poll, though. The last Ice Age movie made almost 890 million dollars. People are still underestimating the worldwide boxoffice power of this movie franchise. Ice Age 4 will be one of the strongest contenders for Dark Knght and The Hobbit imo.

I hope something that no one expects like an all new movie not a sequal i hope anyway.
