Not really, not in the same way at least. Wii Fit is a game, unlike Blu-Ray, so it's more relevant to the games industry than Blu-Ray player sales.

 The problem it's that nobody seems to be buying games for the ps3, while Wii doesn't have any problem on that area. Thats why the concerns about people using their Ps3 only to watch movies

Congrats to the ps3! Glad to finally see it doing well for the past couple months. Things are looking bright for 2008 for ALL the consoles. Can't wait to get my hands on a bunch of the upcoming titles.



Well, I now only have access to a PS3 & 360...Plan on buying a wii soon (lol, if I can ever find one available!) but will probably wait until some of the major RPG's come out like Dragon Quest & Tales, etc.

Anyhow, I'm so far behind in games to play that I'm not in a huge hurry (lol, haven't even gotten a chance to finish God of War II yet!)

Let's not go there again. This thread is about the "market share" of consoles. It's not about which console's owners will buy games. As long as they own the consoles, there is a chance the owners will buy something. You never know. Besides, no one buys games like Xbox360 owners :) Microsoft can really bank on that, even though Xbox360 may end up the 3rd this gen. Xbox360 will keep selling games at a very consistent (and HIGH) level.

But the PS3 is still maintaining a comparable attachrate to the other consoles, so its all good for now. Plus the wii/360 have dropped their biggest franchises.

Wii: SSBB, Mario Kart, Pikmin, Animal Crossing, (possible) Nintendogs.

360: Fable 2, Halo Wars, GoW2, Too Human, Alan Wak...

Nothing has been shown yet.


Common ...non will help as much the 360 as Halo 3 or GoW ... Fable , Alan Wake , Too Human , Halo Wars are all greta titles , that will do well , but neither is a real console seller ...


Says you. I say, MGS4 and FF are no longer system sellers as people grow tired of stale IPs.

 


 yeah right ... the flop of recent FF and MGS games prooves it . Fable will be a million seller , but it will not push hardware . Halo Wars is not the old FPS game , and except the avid Halo fans , whom allready have a 360 nobody will buy a console for this game . Too Human will be a sim iklar hit as Mass Effect , but not bigger , and I dont see that game boosting hardware significantly ... oh and Alan Wake ... that game may not even be a million seller . 

 

Now , most PS3 owners got their PS3 thinking about MGS4 and FFXIII , and knowing that even this two games may warant their high-priced console . Bealive me ,  MGS and FF are far from beeing tired IPs ...

 Lol ... thas why Zack and Wicki are biggesr hits than CoD 4 ... this argue is the worst so far . Yes , I agree many people buy their PSPs as PMPs , but saying that most people buy their PS3s just for movies ... lol , just lol .
