A lot of what I read about this guy claims that he was a an anti Islam Norwegian who supported Israel and was upset by Norway's support of a Palestinian State.

Whatever he believed in he was a pure psychopath, I hope the Norwegians drop the hammer on him.

It's quite obvious that fundamentalism must be strongly opposed, whatever the religion it belongs to.

From what I could understand, he believes that Europe's politicians' support of multiculturalism will lead to an Islamic takeover of Europe unless these politicians are first defeated, and then a new crusade against Islam is done.

Considering that less than 2 years ago this happened at a U.S. military installation, it's not so surprising.

I saw a journalist saying that Norwegian politicians regularly eat at restaurants without any security. The country is (was?) simply assumed to be quite safe even for politicians.

Wait isn't still a terrorist attack, oh I get Mr Bubbles description of terrorism is alot different from ours (as to him they actually have to be jihadist fundementalist).

I wouldn't assume that he's insane. It looks like he has been planning this for quite a while and knew exactly what he was doing. It's defendable to call his views insane, but that's not the same thing as having a mental disorder.

oh no. the original title was definitely an accurate description of the events and the person who did them. you just arent "getting" the new title, but thats ok.

After watching his video and reading about the attacks, I interpret his actions as attacking both the head and the tail of the leading Norwegian political party. He attacked the government buildings and the youngest supporters.

How could he do it? Maybe he's really insane, or maybe he convinced himself that it was the best course of action in order to get attention to his views... An intelligent person convinced that he/she knows what's best can be a very dangerous thing, as history shows.
