Exactly. Sony has far more room to capitalize and obviously have more natural demand because of how well it is already selling at @ $299. If it drops any lower it's going to get crazy.

and 360 will remain dusty and continue to gain more dust till the end of this year. while my PS3 will continue to get used even more than it already has. 360 needs games if it hopes to get used by me more and Gears 3 simply isnt enough

Nazi is the name of a movement. Theres nothing degrading about calling a Nazi a Nazi. Jap was a derogitory name (mostly americans during war)used similarly with "chink" or what  for people from China or "Gook" in Vietnam. Ever seen Full Metal Jacket?..... Yeah. Actually there is something degrading about calling a national socialist a nazi. In one of thier forums (I think its stormfront) you can get easly banned for saying that word as they find it very offensive

Imagine this. A movement that struck fear into the heart of Europe (and if they got a chance, the world). A group that would've cleansed the world of it diversity and beauty. As humans we already screwed up the planet. Nazism is just a short way of saying Nationalsozialismus.


And 'Jap  is just a short way to say Japanese. It works both ways . And fun fact - Japanese were on the side of Nazis during WW2

Yes, it's very possible that the ps3 could wind up in last place this holiday season, but that's not why he made the thread. He likes controversy. Nothing more. Why give him the time of day.

I give FattyDingDong some cred for making this thread but do agree with Makingmusic476, he does know how to rile up VGC

OT: If I were to take this thread seriously(which I somewhat am doing) I personally think the Wii will be first this holiday season, we've said this for about 2 years about how the wii was losing momentum and that it would be overtaken and then BAM!!! look who's sitting on top.(talking WW though)

it will be a close battle for 2nd place and I believe the PS3 might just make to 2nd place as I think a price cut will be favoring the PS3, the lowest selling model is $300 where it's competition while its competitors have a $150-$199 console. if the PS3 is holding good position during these weekly charts, imagine what could happen with a price cut during the holiday season.(might have another 2009 on our hands...but bigger)

for exclusives:  Gears 3 and UC3 will give their  consoles a good boost, though Gears 3 is much bigger(Speacailly in the NA) so it's mostly a given that the 360 will get a bigger boost to the 360 then UC3 will do for the PS3, now tag that with Halo CE and this could put the 360 on top of the PS3.(NA wise) though FF XIII-2 is releasing  in Japan and I believe UC3 will be stronger in EMEAA than NA.

as for Call of Duty and other multiplats won't make much of an impact Hardware wise; both console will recieve boosts but no title will be the "nail in the coffin" for the othe console

the biggest thing MS/360 has is Kinect, I know most gamers were upset about MS E3 conference being heavy on Kinect(myself included) but kids will eat that Disneyland, Fun Labs , Star Wars Kinect up. though I don't think "Kinect Effect" will be of the magnitude it was last holiday season.

I know America doesn't equal the world, but it plays a pretty damn big part lol

both Gears 1&2 have sold 6 mil each compared to Uncharted: Drakes Fortune(3.7 mil) and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves(4.7 mil), Gears 3 has over 1 million pre-orders and is the most pre-ordered 360 exclusive yet. so sales wise...It's bigger.

*sigh* as in term of hype both games have a huge amount of hype as they're the biggest exclusives coming out this year. a main reason to why UC3 had more players was because it was an open beta, I believe the only way you could play the Gears 3 beta was pre-ordering Gears, buying Bulletstorm, and invite a friend. yet Gears 3 got more pre-orders during the beta than Uncharted 3.Gears 3 has 1 million pre-orders in NA alone, think about the rest of the world, gears 3 probably atleast is looking at a 3 million fw.

and of course Mario is bigger than Gears...I don't know why you brought that up...

and I hope you're not thinking that I mean Sales=better game, but it does mean that the game is more popular/bigger
