Hahaha so now the complaining is about the lightning being too good... lol

I understand that it's gonna be hard for the GT crowd to admit it but Forza 4 is king in every way especially since GT was supposed to show the PS3's superior graphical capabilities over the 360. Both machines are equal, it'S all about the devs.

Forza 4 will be incredible. Everything from the garage view to the environments. I can't wait until they show the paint editor. This is where Forza shines imo.

its looking good the showroom grafix are a big plus, on track it looks like forza 3 with improved lighting

The on track car detail destroys forza 3s, that's obvious to. Also the tracks are alot more detailed. Its actually a massive leap. More than forza 3 over 2.

we will have to see in the full game you can never trust compressed videos, they should be improvement over F3 cars deffo, in previous trailer it showed some cars had moving parts ie rear wing and stuff

i dont think the car leap will be like F2 to F3, i predict they will be refined versions of F3 cars

And why is that? I'm a huge GT fan and have played GT5 to death (I just need 0,1% to finish it completely), but I agree that Forza 4 is shaping up to be way better than GT5.

If they can add day-to-night transitions and weather, then it will become the ultimate console racing sim without a shadow of doubt.

Current PC Build

CPU - i7 8700K 3.7 GHz (4.7 GHz turbo) 6 cores OC'd to 5.2 GHz with Watercooling (Hydro Series H110i) | MB - Gigabyte Z370 HD3P ATX | Gigabyte GTX 1080ti Gaming OC BLACK 11G (1657 MHz Boost Core / 11010 MHz Memory) | RAM - Corsair DIMM 32GB DDR4, 2400 MHz | PSU - Corsair CX650M (80+ Bronze) 650W | Audio - Asus Essence STX II 7.1 | Monitor - Samsung U28E590D 4K UHD, Freesync, 1 ms, 60 Hz, 28"

well after the 5 minutes of totally NOT ingame bullshots from the auto vista (which is a cool feature but hardly important) finally the gameplay, ultra bloom and plastic cars texture-less galore, looks good but hardly realistic, GT5 beats in lighting easily, definitely improved the physics though, if just a little, at least you tell the tires are actually touching the road, not like in GT where you experience every bump to the point of madness, but still definitely an improvement over Forza 3, most certainly looks better if just a little, all in all not impressed.

still this is more likely pre alpha footage, and still a ways before release, hoping to see if they can match the feature set in GT ( dynamic weather, day/night transitions, full endurance races, track editor, etc)

Well I'll bet u every single review declares forza 4 over gt 5 gfx. Easy. Forza 4 is the only console game to use hollywoods ibl lighting. And sorry but its all over gt5s hit and miss lighting system. If you've ever driven in a snow covered countryside whilst sunny, you'll know that its bright as hell, sometimes impossible to see because the Sun glares off everything. And the cars ingame are the best models this gen.

Its an easy win for forza 4 across the board. Feature wise, time of day is already confirmed. But the best one is live car clubs. The game is pure ownage.

The graphics in GT5 never cease to amaze me.  Yeah yeah, the car shadows are sometimes off, but the game does look and feel life-like.

I always said that the thing that Forza lacks is a proper rendition of life-like colors.  Everything is always too vivid and over saturated.  Something that GT5 does right.  Maybe Forza 4 will be more technically impresive, but so far, I don't see a really big step from Forza 3 when it comes to the actual driving gameplay graphics.  Everything seems to be overdone and the racing parts look more like an arcade game (the looks, not the physics) than something that thrives to recreate reality.  I think that's an aspect that is really important for a such a sim and Forza has always missed that spot in my eyes. But I do find the Vistas quite sexy, even if the cars look like they just had 5 layers of wax! :D

This video reminds me that I've still to complete Nurb 24H endurance >_>.

But yeah, GT5 does have some pretty good lightning, especially on the day-to-night transitions. I did find the night lightning in Le Mans to be a bit lacking, especially on the Mulsanne Straight, which isn't as dark IRL as it is on the game.

same here, where I saw the Ferrari vid I was floored, which is why I brought the F2007, racing that car at night is just something else.
