I still don't know about the npd numbers, I feel the 360 numbers are fishy. I just can't see that the 360 sold 500,000 in the US alone, I think 350,000-450,000 is better but I guess we will have to wait for the official numbers from Microsoft itself

The Zelda game in question is a remake. Also, it's still lasting in the US. The week before OoT 3D's release, 3DS sales were about 20k. It's -still- above that so far for about 3 straight weeks..so it did well there. Japan and Others were mostly a one-week deal, but again, this is just a remake.


True, but some were talking like it would be the game to end all games, the 3DS is in last, all the others must be doing something exceptional

As Carl has illustrated very well over recent weeks the Wii is overtracked significantly, this is now even worse following NPD.

There is a very good chance that vgc will have hundreds of thousands of wii sold more than have even been shipped, that can kill a reputation.

Likewise the 360 numbers are going to be too low, its heavily undertracked in the US recently (this continues this week imo) and I wouldnt be surprised if this was the same in EMEAA too.


It's not like it's going to be much of a wait for shipment data anyway. And we'll be getting an update on European sales from Nintendo's investor briefing in a couple weeks.

Nintendo still in the lead by a country mile, as usual. Nothing has changed in the past five years.

Over 70.000 hardware units and over 400.000 game copies more sold last week than the next respective competitors (Sony/EA).

Eventually they will run out of ways to sell the Wii.  Not many price cuts left.  This is the first time a market leader had to replace their console before the "losers".  I don't think it's as simple as it seems.

Nintendo is by far the world's most successful game company. It is as simple as it seems.
